The Kindy area caters for children from approximately three and a half years until they leave for school. This area is run at a ratio of one adult to nine children.

Our trip to the zoo

We saw a tiger! We saw a rhino! We saw birdies! We saw piggies! We saw a giraffe! And parrots! We saw a monkey! I saw a gorilla!
The tiger was sleeping under a tree. The birdies were flying and fighting. The rhinos were eating down at their little water hole. The parrots were smiling at us. The pukeko was walking around and eating, and he sleeps. The pukeko was trying to eat our food!
When we went there, Brooke said we were going to see zebras but we didn't but I saw them!

Kindy trip to Raglan
On Thursday 27th November the kindy children, teachers and some parents went out to Raglan campground for the day. They enjoyed a day of paddling in the water and playing in the sand and on the playground. Two of Raglan's lifeguards came out to talk to the children about how to keep safe at the beach this coming summer, including swimming between the flags and making sure they 'slip, slop, slap'. The group also enjoyed a lunch of fish n' chips. A fantastic day was had by all!
