Influenza A (H1N1) updates

Hi Midcity Parents!

With the increase of Influenza A (H1N1) (also known as Swine Flu) in New Zealand, and the closure of some childcare centres in Auckland and Christchurch, we have created this page for several reasons:

* You are able to update your emergency contact details on this page.
* We will be providing some tips for how to keep yourself and your families healthy this flu season.
* There is a link to our 'Child Health' policy.
* In case of a centre closure, this page will keep parents up-to-date.

Status - We are OPEN!!!

On the 24th of June, the Waikato District Health Board sent a letter to all Hamilton eary chidhood centres recommending that all children and staff with flu-like symptoms be sent home until they have been symptom-free for 24 hours.  This includes symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, headaches, and fatigue.

Emergency Contact Details Form

Please take the time to fill out this form with up-to-date contact details for you as the parent/caregiver of your child (or children) at Midcity Childcare Centre.  Please also provide two local emergency contacts of people your child knows (eg. family/friends) who could take care of your child in an emergency.
